Oral conscious sedation is a prescribed medication taken by the patient prior to their arrival at the office. Patients arrange transportation to and from the visit, as they cannot drive a vehicle while this medication is in effect. Patients are relaxed yet awake while using this sedation. Many patients return home to rest and have no recollection of their visit.IV sedation
