Sedation methods ensure safe and relaxed visits to a dental office in Wichita
Patients of East Wichita Dentist can be assured of the safest and most reliable outcomes from treatments performed with sedation. Dr. Koepsel has extensive training and experience in sedation dentistry, excelling in this aspect of care over many other dental providers in the area. Sedation is available via several methods to provide various levels of relaxation.
Nitrous oxide, what some call laughing gas, is commonly used in dentistry to place the patient in a relaxed state for a higher degree of comfort during treatment. It is safe and versatile, easily controlled, and has no lasting aftereffects. A patient can receive this type of sedation and be able to function normally, as well as drive, immediately after use. Oral sedation is another method, in which an oral medication is taken ahead of the dental visit. This requires a patient to have someone drive them to and from their appointment. While the patient is alert and cooperative, they are not able to safely operate machinery, including a vehicle, with this form of sedation. For extreme anxiety or prolonged treatments, IV sedation may be the best choice. We have a CRNA trained and certified anesthesiologist, to administer IV sedation for a patient during his or her dental procedure.
We want our patients to know that any visit to our dental office is not an event that needs to be avoided. By making us aware of any concerns when calling, we will put our exceptional care and training into action to remove the anxiety for dental visits. In or around Wichita, call (316) 215-7152 to reach East Wichita Dentist to schedule an appointment.

Such an amazing dental office! The staff is so nice and welcoming. I felt right at home. They used sedation dentistry on me and it took all the fear from me and it didn't even hurt. I have never met a dental office that is so easy to talk to! Love them
